Albert Fisher, Woman With Beer, Printer's Test (1940's)
1940's Unfolded Printer's Test Poster by artist, graphic designer, illustrator, poster artist, Albert Fisher. This is a very rare uncut printer's test poster (often referred to as a "printer's proof")! Before a poster was printed in large quantities, the printer would print a limited number of posters as "test" posters. Because they needed to be approved by people at the studio, they would print a number of test posters for distribution to these people. Printer's test posters are far more rare than the actual final cut poster. The finished posters were typically printed as stock posters for advertising for bars, restaurants, taverns, etc.
