1986 Re-Release Unfolded One-Sheet Movie Poster. This poster is from the 1986 re-release of the 1946 live-action/ animated musical film produced by Walt Disney and released by RKO Radio Pictures. The movie is based on a collection of Uncle Remus stories. The film is highly controversial for its handling of race which some critics have described as racist and offensive. To date, the film has never been released in the United States on any home video format. The song Zip-a-dee-doo-dah won the 1947 Academy Award for Best Original song. The recently closed Disney Theme Park ride Splash Mountain was based on the film.
