Note: Audrey Morris, (November 12, 1928 – April 1, 2018) was an American singer and pianist who specialized in jazz ballads. A native Chicagoan and one of the world's finest cabaret singers, Morris put together, in her smokey wistful style, an exquisite musical tribute to 1940's and 1950's film noir, performing fourteen songs from such noir films as ”Kiss Me Deadly,” ”Farewell, My Lovely,” "In a Lonely Place" and ”The Blue Gardenia.” Morris accompanies herself at the keyboard. A truly wonderful album.
